LIBERTY WILDLIFE AT SCHOOL / "LIBERTY WILDLIFE" A L'ECOLE

Aujourd'hui, jeudi 12 décembre 2013, "Liberty Wildlife" est venue à l'école pour nous parler de leur association. Son objectif est de soigner la nature de l'Arizona en apportant une réhabilitation de qualité pour la faune,  une éducation environnementale, et des services de conservation pour la communauté.
Trois dames sont venues nous présenter trois oiseaux en captivité:
- un "Red Tail hawk" : Skye
- un "Great Horn owl" : Snickers
- deux "American Kestrells" : Veto et Lucilla

Today, December 12th 2013, Liberty Wildlife came to school to talk about the association. Liberty Wildlife is committed to nurturing the nature of Arizona by providing quality wildlife rehabilitation, environmental education, and conservation services for the community.
Three ladies came to present three birds in captivity:
- a Red Tai hawk named Skye
- a Great Horn owl named Snickers
- two American Kestrells named Veto and Lucilla.

Jeudi 31 octobre 2013, nous avons fêté Halloween à l’école.

Nous avons mis nos déguisements préférés, écrit des textes sur ce que l’on aime à Halloween et nous avons décoré nos citrouilles.

Last Thursday, October 31st 2013, we celebrated Halloween at school.
We dressed up with our favorite costume, wrote some texts about what we like with Halloween and we decorated our pumpkins.
We love Halloween.

Yesterday, Monday, October 28th, we went to the Tolmachoff farm.

It was very good. We have learned lot's of things about plants.

We will do a digital book soon to explain more about this fieldtrip.

DEPART DE CHLOE DECLINES / CHLOE'S FAREWELL

Vendredi 25 octobre 2013 était le dernier jour pour Chloé dans notre école.
Nous avons fait une petite fête après lui avoir donné nos petits cadeaux.
Elle déménage à Seattle. On espère la voir bientôt sur Skype pour qu’elle nous raconte comment est sa nouvelle école et sa nouvelle maison.
A bientôt Chloé !
Tu vas nous manquer.

Friday, October 25th 2013 was the last day for Chloe in our school.
We had a party after giving our gifts.
She is moving to Seattle. We hope to see her soon on Skype so she can tell us how is her new school and her new home.
See you soon Chloe!
We will miss you.

TASTE WEEK / SEMAINE DU GOUT

Aujourd’hui, jeudi 24 octobre 2013, nous avons eu la visite surprise de Gilles Kolakowski qui nous a fait découvrir des saveurs sucrées. Les élèves se sont amusés à mélanger la fraise avec la menthe et le chocolat créant ainsi leur souris glacée au chocolat.

Today, Thursday, October 24th 2013, Gilles Kolakowski (Lena's dad) made the surprise to come to discover the sugary flavors with the students. We all enjoyed mixing the flavors of strawberry with fresh mint and chocolate ice cream.

Aujourd'hui, mercredi 23 octobre 2013, Nelly Kohsok de PITA JUNGLE est venue nous présenter une recette grecque que son restaurant propose dans leur menu : « salade grecque ».
Nous avons tous fait notre assiette et nous l’avons goutée. C’était très bon.
Nous avons reçu un diplôme et une toque de chef.

Today, Wednesday, October 23rd 2013, Nelly Kohsok from PITA JUNGLE came to present a Greek recipe her restaurant has in the menu : "greek salad".
We have done our own salad and we have tasted it. It was very good.
We have received a diploma and a chief hat.

JOUR DES GRANDS-PARENTS / GRANDPARENTS' DAY

Vendredi dernier, le 13 septembre 2013, nous avons eu la visite des grands-parents à l’école.

Dans notre classe, les grands-parents de Lars puis de Jasmine ainsi que la grand-mère d’Ella et le grand-père d’Alexandra sont venus.
Nous les avons interviewés puis ils nous ont aidés à retrouver sur différentes cartes tous les grands-parents de la classe.

Last Friday, September 13th 2013, we had the visit of grandparents at school.
Lars and Jasmine 's grandparents, Ella's grandmother and Alexandra's grandfather came in our classroom.
We did some interviews and then they helped us to find all the grandparents from our class in different maps.

A VERY NICE SURPRISE TODAY

Aujourd’hui, jeudi 12 septembre, nous avons eu une très bonne surprise.

Nous avons vu Quinn sur SKYPE. Elle nous a appelés de l’hôtel où elle habite pour le moment.

On voulait tous lui parler.

On va essayer de la voir tous les mois.

We saw Quinn on SKYPE. She called us from the hotel where she is living for the moment.
